Location

Crete is the largest island in Greece. The main beach of Agia Pelagia is just 25 meters away from Fotoula Studios. It is a sandy, windless beach with chairs and umbrellas. It is popular for jet skiing and diving. Along the beach, there are shops with handmade souvenirs and many taverns with seafood, beach bars and cafes to enjoy your food or drink overlooking the sea.

The area has beautiful and windless bays (Lygaria, Mononaftis, Psaromoura), ideal for swimming and relaxation. The picturesque village of Fodele with its orange groves, the river trail and the El Greco Museum is just 11 km away. Driving 9 Km from Fotoula Studios, you will find yourself in the amphitheatrically built village of Rodia with the unique view of the bay of Heraklion and the island of Dia. The church of Agia Pelagia, a historic building of the 13th century is located less than 1km away from Fotoula Studios..

Within 30 minutes to an hour drive from Fotoula Studios, there are many interesting places that one can and should visit. To the east, the city of Heraklion with the Archaeological site of Knossos Palace, the Archaeological Museum, the Historical Museum of Crete, the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of the Battle of Crete, the "Morosini Fountain" (Lions), as well as shops and cafes. West of Fotoula Studios, the picturesque Rethymnon with the castle of Fortezza dominating the beautiful Old Town, the Venetian Port with its lighthouse and so many other monuments and attractions.
